BookMitzvah! And Signed Paperback Giveaway

I don’t know what the term is when your book comes out in paperback though it’s been out in hardcover for a year or so.  So I’m calling it a bookmitzvah, for today, my book becomes a gender-non-specific adult.

So yeah, the paperback is out as of yesterday!  And there’s going to be lots of guest posts coming up.  In fact, there’s one already: The My Favorite Bit on Mary Robinette Kowal‘s blog.  I’m giving away some passwords to the deleted scenes over there.  So go check it out.

I’ll be sure to share more posts as they occur, but I can tell you I’ve been interviewed by the always fantastic Gail Carriger (update: the interview is up!) and I’m currently working on posts about favorite shakespeare adaptations, ways to get over writers block, and many many more.

Also exciting: the paperback has been out one day, but Amazon only 8 copies left of the paperback (as of 2:30EST).  If Amazon sells out by Friday morning, I’ll do something special for all of you on my blog.  I’m not entirely sure what that is, but you should feel free to leave suggestions in the comments.

In the meantime, in honor of All Men of Genius’ BookMitzvah, I’m going to be giving away two signed paperbacks!  That’s right, TWO.  So, there are two ways to enter.  The first is to leave a comment below.  The second is to tweet a link to this post! (make sure to put @LevACRosen somewhere in the tweet, but not at the beginning – that way I’ll be sure to see it, but more importantly, so will everyone else).  One winner will be chosen from the comments, one from twitter, so you have a chance to win two signed copies, made out to whomever you want!  And if you’ve already ordered a copy, then let me say that signed books make excellent holiday gifts.  So share the contest!  And help me come up with ideas on what to do if Amazon sells out! So many exclamation points!

Oh, and the winners will be declared on Nov 28th; in 2 weeks.

And, thank you all so much for making this first year of published-author-dom a great one.  You guys, fans, the people who work hard getting my book out there, bloggers, all of you are amazing.  Thank you.

This is exciting! I really enjoyed All Men of Genius but I didn’t start following you on the Internet until just now when I saw you interviewed on Gail Carriger’s blog. Congrats on the bookmitzvah~!

    • Lev AC Rosen says:

Thank you! I am not nearly as good as keeping up my blog as Gail is. I envy her online work ethic, and how she always finds something interesting to post about.

  2. Nina Morrison says:

    Mazel tov!

  3. Sheila says:

  4. John Leavitt says:

This has been on my to-read list for some time!

  5. Kristin says:

Happy BookMitzvah! I just read the interview and loved it. Both you and Gail seem to have so much fun developing and tweaking your Victorian worlds!

    • Lev AC Rosen says:

Thank you! I think we do, too, and what’s great is we tweak in such different ways. It’s so much fun to see how others take a similar idea but make it so unique and personal.

  6. John Little says:

Wow, this is nice. I’ve wanted to read this book since it came out, but books have been a luxury that I have not, alas, been able to afford (though that may change in the near future, happily.)

I’ll definitely enter twice. And congrats on the paperback!

  7. Frank Jasper-Stump says:

I dearly loved your book and I am trying to get my wife to read it too. Another congrats on your recent wedding too.

    • Lev AC Rosen says:

Thank you! I hope you succeed in convincing your wife to read it. Tell her the author asked her to very nicely and batted his eyelashes for effect (you can’t tell, but I promise I’m doing so).

  8. Sarah says:

This was one of my favorite books last year! I loved it. So glad it’s out in paperback, it’s about to become a go-to gift book

    • Lev AC Rosen says:

That is precisely the sort of thing I like to hear. And I believe you also gave me a very kind review – thank you for that. I remember it really picked me up when I was having a very stressful day.

  9. Lori says:

    Lev,

Congrats on the success of your book! I am so sad to say that I have yet to get a chance to read it! BUT, it is on the top of my list for my winter break reading!

  10. Lynn K. says:

A reviewer I follow highly recommended this book so I’m really looking forward to reading it! I love steampunk novels. :)

P.S. If this isn’t open ww please disregard my entries (twitter one too @kuro_rin01)

  11. Lisa W. says:

Mazal tov! I feel like I should buy your book a fountain pen. I absolutely love this book (and — full disclosure — already have a signed copy!) — but I’m entering the giveaway contest so I can share the love with certain people in my life who just NEED to read this book. Best of luck to you with the paperback release!

    • Lev AC Rosen says:

Oy, the fountain pens – those were such a weird gift, cause they were always too fancy to actually *use* so I stuffed them in my desk drawer and didn’t find them til I was back from college.
And yes! share the book with everyone!
